Following the passing of long time club supporter James Fritchey it was decided to start an annual scholarship award in honor of Jim's work with the club, and also to foster a sense of community, build membership, add value and interest. The scholarship
is available to any club member in good standing, their children, grandchildren and resident step-children.
This year's award from the James Fritchey Memorial Scholarship
Fund will be $1000 to be applied towards tuition, and paid directly to the school attended by the winner.
The selection process includes a positive scholastic record, school and community involvement, and an essay. Essay topics
are the following, (choose one);
- Impact your connection with the transportation industry has had on your life and academic career.
- Describe the person or event that has had the greatest impact on your life, and why.
- The importance
of transportation as it pertains to the US economy and/or the general public.
All entries will be judged by an independent party not affiliated with the Traffic Club.
