State of the Industry Event – April 2026 Draws Strong Turnout and Insightful Discussion

04/27/2026 8:56 PM | Dominic Baio (Administrator)

The Traffic Club of the Lehigh Valley proudly hosted its inaugural State of the Industry: What Matters Most event, bringing together professionals from across the transportation, logistics, and supply chain sectors for an evening of meaningful dialogue and industry insight.

The program was led by Tom Garrity and featured an exceptional panel of industry leaders, including Becky Bradley, AICP, Ron Scholler, and Rebecca Oyler. Each panelist brought a unique perspective, contributing to a well-rounded and engaging discussion on the most pressing challenges and opportunities facing the industry today.

Topics covered throughout the evening reflected the evolving landscape of transportation and logistics. The panel explored critical issues such as the ongoing shortage of safe and accessible driver parking, strategies to enhance driver safety, and the growing role of artificial intelligence in optimizing operations. The conversation also examined the future of electric and autonomous trucks, as well as the leadership principles and organizational strategies required to build and sustain high-performing teams in a rapidly changing environment.

We were encouraged by the strong turnout and the high level of engagement from attendees, whose participation helped elevate the discussion and reinforce the importance of collaboration across the industry.

Events like this underscore the Traffic Club of the Lehigh Valley’s commitment to providing valuable programming, fostering professional development, and creating a forum for impactful industry conversations that benefit our members and the broader logistics community.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the organizations that sponsored this event and made it possible: NFI, Service Electric Business, Aesir Logistics, LLC, Global Sales & Marketing LLC, The Yurconic Agency, Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association Lehigh Chapter, Westgate Global Logistics, The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, and WORKFORM.
